Getting here by foot

 Hull is very accessible and The Deep is just a short walk from the city centre. 

To walk to The Deep from Hull's Interchange, exit the station and cross the road towards the Hull cenotaph and war memorial, and then follow the pedestrian signs to The Deep.

You can find the quickest walking route here - just type in your starting point! 

If you have time for a little more adventure in Hull why not make your way to The Deep and include one of the amazing Trails that Hull has to offer. The most famous being Hull's family friendly Fish Trail which will take you on a tour of Hull's big landmarks and through historic cobbled streets of "Old town".

Getting here by bike

The Deep is part of the Trans Pennine Trail which is an exciting 215 mile trail linking the North and Irish Seas.

There are bike stands available adjacent to The Deep reception to secure cycles and just a 5 minute walk away at Hull's indoor market, the R-evolution Cycle Hub offer FREE secure, indoor parking for up to 40 cycles. 

Globe probe

Our 'Globe Probe 2' diving bell situated outside the reception is equipped with a solar panel, bench and 2 USB charging points to keep your phones charged up with green energy goodness. 

We have outdoor picnic benches which are free to use and have a great view of the Humber Estuary, if you are feeling thirsty you can fill up your water bottle for free at our reception, or if a hot drink and something to eat is needed our café is free to access. 

Alongside a visit to the Deep you can visit tempting historic pubs, stop off at the iconic Fruit Market area, take a walk around the eye-catching marina and spend time visting Hull's independent shops, cafes, galleries and restaurants. 

For something different, follow Hull's famous 'Fish Trail' which will help you see the city in a different way and discover areas you never knew existed. 

Don't forget if you are taking part in the Trans Pennine Trail stamping scheme to pop into The Deep to have your card stamped!

Getting here by car

Easily accessed from the A63, The Deep is a 15 minute drive from the Humber Bridge and has on-site parking. 
If using a Sat Nav please enter the postcode HU9 1TU. This will take you to Tower Street, Hull, which is the nearest main road to The Deep. 

The Deep has its own car park with has its own pay and display car park, charges are £3.75 for 5 hours 6am-6pm and £2 6pm-6am. Charges apply every day including bank holidays. Please display a valid ticket in your windscreen.

Customers attending functions or events at The Deep are exempt from the £2 night charge.

Please note The Deep does not permit leaving dogs in cars.

Electric Car Charging

The Deep has two 7kW charging facilities available onsite for £2.50 per hour, for a maximum of 5 hours.  Please visit The Deep shop to purchase charging time.  A member of The Deep Crew will then come and activate the charger for you.

Car Parking charges apply (and can be purchased when buying charging time). Chargers are operational 10am to 6pm.

Please use this facility is accordance with your vehicle’s safety and operating procedures (and at your own risk).

Getting here by train

Train times into Hull can be found via National Rail.

Hull Trains also offer a Hull Leisure Return ticket for £10 or less if travelling to Hull from Doncaster, Selby, Howden or Brough.

It's then just a short walk from Hull Interchange to The Deep! 

Getting here by bus

Park and Ride facility is available from Priory Park, Hessle. This is 5 miles west of Hull on the A63 approach road into the city. It is signposted from the A15, A63 and the Humber Bridge. This service drops you off down Tower Street, just 2 minutes walk from The Deep.

A number of services also travel nearby from Hull Interchange. For up to date information on bus timetables from Hull Interchange to The Deep please visit the Stagecoach and EYMS websites or call Traveline on 0871 200 22 33 open daily from 8am - 8pm (calls to Traveline cost 12p per minute, plus any charges your network provider makes).

Climb aboard at the Streetlife Museum and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the past, and learn about the story of the anti-slavery movement at Wilberforce House, or enter a world where 235 million years of history are brought to life at the Hull and East Riding Museum.

Explore the awe-inspiring Hull Minster, visit the magnificent collection of paintings and sculptures at the Feren’s Art Gallery and follow one (or more!) of the famous trails around Hull city centre.

Hull Marina and Humber Street

Located adjacent to The Deep is the colourful and vibrant Humber Street. Here you can wander through the revitalised Fruit Market and enjoy a selection of independant shops, bars, gallaries, pop up events, cafes and restaurants before reaching the iconic Hull Marina. 

Humber Street is also home to Dinostar, Hull's exciting Dinosaur Museum and Humber Street Gallery which brings a vibrant, high quality, contemporary art space to Hull.

Hull Truck offers the best in vibrant home grown entertainment whilst Hull New Theatre is one of the UK's premier touring venues and features the best in musical, opera, ballet, drama, children's shows.

Shopping

Hull offers an amazing array of independent traders and high street shops with something for everyone. 

Visit Hepworth ArcadeTrinity Market and Paragon Arcade to find that perfect one off item- not forgetting to admire the amazing buildings they are located in and grab lunch and a drink from one of the the fantastic independent local eateries.

Head to Princes QuayProspect Centre and St. Stephens shopping centres for the bigger brands, play some crazy golf, or enjoy relax and a film at the cinema. 

The Great Outdoors

Hull is also home to stunning parks and gardens including Queens Gardens in the heart of the city centre and just a 10 minute driva away is the 130 acre East Park where you can take a stroll, hire a swan boat pedalo, and visit the animal education centre.

Linking East Yorkshire to North Linconshire, The Humber Bridge is one of the world's longest single span suspension bridges and is a masterpiece of British engineering and a major attraction in its own right. Close by, The Humber Bridge Country Park nature reserve which is a haven for people and wildlife set against the stunning iconic backdrop.

For visitors wanting to travel slightly further afield, Bempton Cliffs is home to one of the UK’s top wildlife spectacles with around half a million seabirds gathering here between March and October.

Flamborough Head also offers a great base for birdwatching with over 200,000 nesting seabirds, including gannets and puffins. Marked by a stretch of rugged white cliffs, this areas is a perfect for those wanting to explore the Yorkshire Coast.

Finally Spurn Point Nature Reserve is located three miles into the Humber Estuary from the Holderness Coast. It is an internationally important nature reserve with sensitive, diverse and wildlife-rich habitats.

There is also a selection of seaside resorts all within a few hour’s drive time from The Deep including Scarborough, Whitby and Bridlington.
