The Deep, one of the UK’s most spectacular aquariums and an internationally respected education and conservation charity, is proud to announce that it has become the latest stockist of The Whale Who Disappeared by local author Emma Oldham. This enchanting children’s book, which champions marine conservation and environmental activism, is now available for visitors to purchase at their Deep-Artment store!
To mark the occasion, The Deep will host a special event on November 30th, inviting families to listen in to readings of The Whale Who Disappeared, included within their entry ticket price!
Set against the backdrop of the aquarium’s stunning Endless Ocean exhibit, the largest habitat at The Deep, readings will take place at 11:30am and 12:30pm, promising a magical experience as sharks, sawfish, rays and turtles glide behind the storyteller.
During the event, young readers will immerse themselves in the inspiring tale of six-year-old Arry, the young environmentalist at the heart of the story, while surrounded by the beauty of the marine world.
The event will be followed by a special author meet-and-greet, book signings, and the chance to purchase your very own plushie inspired by the story’s characters!
