Visit The Deep this May half-term for an action-packed week filled with fun, family-friendly activities!
This is the second year The Deep has collaborated with teams from the RNLI and HM Coastguard, along with local charity Humber Rescue, to bring H₂O Heroes to life; the aim is to make this year’s event bigger and better!
Katy Duke, Chief Executive Officer at The Deep, said: “We are delighted to welcome back our partners this May half-term. The Deep’s Crew have thoroughly enjoyed the variety of training opportunities each rescue team has provided, in addition to their valued support in helping us deliver the popular H₂O Heroes event.”
H₂O Heroes will run from the 25th May to the 2nd June, and explores the theme of staying safe in and around bodies of water. Bringing together a partnership of teams, families will have the exciting opportunity to speak to and hear from those who take part in real, live rescues. There will be plenty of photo opportunities, as the teams will be bringing rescue demonstration vehicles and dress-up kits along with them! Families can also enjoy fact-filled presentations from 10am-3pm each hour, uncovering important insights into how you can stay safe at the coast, including how to ‘float like a starfish’ on the water surface. Plus, don’t forget to take part in the flag-themed trail for the chance to win a FREE tour of the local RNLI Lifeboat station based in Bridlington!
Liam Fayle-Parr, RNLI Water Safety Delivery Support, said: “It’s great to be partnering with The Deep for a second year running to deliver H₂O Heroes. Ahead of the summer holidays, it’s important that we encourage as many people as possible to stay safe at the coast whilst having fun. The team at the RNLI are looking forward to engaging with visitors this May half-term.”
Every standard entry ticket purchased for a visit to The Deep is an Annual Pass, allowing FREE unlimited returns for a full 12 months.
The H₂O Heroes half-term event is included in standard ticket entry; no additional booking is required. Visitors are highly recommended to book online in advance of their visit.
